Now going on it’s ninth year the First Saturday Ukulele Jam is where so many folks began their musical journey playing the ukulele.
This fun class is for the beginning ukulele player as we strum and sing our way into ukulele bliss. We will cover the basics of the ukulele-melody, harmony and rhythm.
Discover the joy and sense of accomplishment as you move to a deeper level as a ukulele player. We will explore new chord shapes and patterns, interesting strum patterns using different rhythms and accents, finger-picking, arpeggios and Travis style.
Discover the wonderful world of jazz and how accessible jazz chords are on the ukulele. We will learn many of the classic songs from the “Great American Songbook” and explore their chord construction.
This class will take your playing to the next level as you learn how to combine chords and melody to create instrumental solos of some of your favorite all time standards, classical, folk and pop songs.
You will have lots of fun in this class as you begin your exciting journey playing the guitar. We will explore the basics of guitar through melodies, chords and rhythms in a relaxed group setting.
You will progress to a deeper level as a guitar player in a fun and relaxed group setting. We will explore new chord shapes and patterns using different rhythms and accents, finger-picking, arpeggios and Travis style.
This fun class will focus on playing multi part arrangements of Classical, Americana, Folk and songs from the Great American Songbook and everyone will have the opportunity to play all the different parts.
This class will forever eliminate your fear of music theory as we explore the fundamentals of music and how fun it can be to unlock the mystery of how music works. We will cover song forms, tempo, notes, chord construction and progressions, key signatures, intervals, scales and more. Bring pencils and notebooks.
